Professional Biography
Dr. Biswaranjan Ghosh is a distinguished textile and clothing techno-managerial professional with over two decades of comprehensive inter-disciplinary experience spanning textile-clothing manufacturing, global export management, and academic leadership.
Joining SVPISTM in 2009, he has steered the institution as Director while previously holding critical responsibilities including Course Coordinator, Public Information Officer (PIO), Grievance Officer, and IACC Coordinator for academic curriculum design and development.
Prior to academia, Dr. Ghosh spent a decade (1999–2009) in senior managerial cadres across premier textile and apparel manufacturing conglomerates across India, orchestrating production and compliance for world-leading brands including Wal-Mart, J.C. Penney, Zara, and Mother Care. He has served with PBM Polytex Ltd (Gujarat), Krishna Group of Industries (Silvassa), Mandhana Exports & Fashion Port (Mumbai), and Chermas Apparel Exquisite Ltd (Hyderabad).
Dr. Ghosh holds a Ph.D. awarded for his pioneering research on 'Assessment of the Competitiveness of Apparel Manufacturing Industries'. He is a certified Lead Internal Auditor for ISO-9001 QMS and has conceptualized and conducted numerous national skill development and executive management development programmes (MDPs) for the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India.
