Professional Biography
Dr. C. Sathishkumar is an accomplished materials chemist and textile testing specialist serving as Assistant Professor in the Department of Textiles at SVPISTM. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Chemistry from Bharathiar University.
Following his Master's, he joined the South India Textile Research Association (SITRA), Coimbatore, where he garnered extensive industry-standard expertise in chemical testing of textile substrates, water quality analysis, and operating sophisticated analytical instrumentation including GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, and ICP-MS.
He earned his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Bharathiar University, focusing on organometallic chemistry, nanoscience, and solar cell applications. He has completed research projects funded by DST-SERB, Govt. of India, on the synthesis of dye sensitizers for Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSC) and Perovskite cells.
Dr. Sathishkumar is an elected Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC), London. Complementing his scientific background, he also holds a Master's degree in Yoga for Human Excellence.
